
Biography
Katie is a Trainee Solicitor at Harringtons LLP, where she plays an integral role in supporting the firm’s criminal and civil litigation practices. Since joining the firm as a Legal Executive in October 2023, Katie has become an invaluable member of the team, known for her exceptional work ethic, attention to detail, and deep commitment to client service.
Working under the supervision of Phelim O’Neill, Katie has gained extensive hands-on experience in the preparation and management of serious indictable criminal cases before the Central Criminal Court. Her involvement in these high-stakes matters has included preparing complex case files, compiling books of evidence, liaising with counsel and experts, and supporting clients throughout the court process. She has consistently demonstrated maturity, professionalism, and a calm, client-focused approach to each case she works on. Katie is known for going above and beyond the call of duty, often working tirelessly to ensure the highest standards are met in every aspect of her role.
Katie holds a degree in Business and Law and a Professional Diploma in Criminology and Forensic Psychology, providing her with a well-rounded understanding of both legal frameworks and behavioural analysis. She has sat all eight FE-1 entrance examinations and is currently awaiting the result of her final paper. She looks forward to commencing the Law Society of Ireland’s Professional Practice Course in the new year.
Before joining Harringtons LLP, Katie worked as a Legal Secretary, developing strong skills in legal administration, client interaction, and file management. Her blend of academic knowledge, practical experience, and exceptional dedication makes her a key asset to the firm as she continues on the path to qualification as a solicitor.
