Kasey Jane Carroll

Kasey Jane Carroll is an aspiring Criminal Defence Solicitor with a strong academic background and practical experience in Criminal Law. Kasey Jane graduated from Maynooth University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Civil Law degree. She then continued her legal studies at Queen’s University Belfast, where she completed a Master of Laws postgraduate degree specialising in Criminal Justice in 2024.

During her time at Queen’s University, Kasey Jane completed a comparative study of young offenders within the Criminal Justice Systems of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Her research critically examined outdated practices and the particular vulnerabilities faced by young people with learning disabilities progressing throughout the Criminal Justice System. This research highlights Kasey Jane’s passion for understanding the current and evolving criminal justice system.

Kasey Jane currently works as a Legal Executive within the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin. Through this experience, she has gained valuable insight into Criminal Defence, developed a strong understanding of court procedures, and gained experience dealing with a wide range of criminal cases before the Courts. Kasey Jane has completed five of the eight FE-1 examinations and is set to complete the remaining examinations in October 2026.

Kasey Jane’s academic and professional experience has strengthened her ambition to qualify as a Criminal Defence Solicitor. She has a particular passion for advocacy and for ensuring that individuals receive effective, fair, and robust legal representation.
